1. Bhaktivedanta Hospital
We have 110 bed general hospital located in Shrishti complex, Mira road. During this year (2009-10) concession and free treatment worth Rs.64.39 lacs were given to the needy patients as compared to Rs.52.87 lacs in the previous year. 3. Rural Eye Camps
Eye camps in Thane district are conducted thrice a week and thousands of patients have been operated for Cataract free of cost in the year 2009. We are focusing on eradication of needless blindness in Dist. Thane. Every year approx 48000 people in Rural Thane get Cataract and only 23000 get treated by various NGO’s and us. There is a backlog of 25000 unmet Cataract surgeries. We have targeted to do 5000 free Cataract Surgeries in the year 2010.The villagers (patients) found with Cataract during the Camp are brought to Bhaktivedanta Hospital for surgeries. The surgeries, transportation(from village to hospital and back), boarding for 2 days at our hospital, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks are provided free of cost to the villagers.

For patients afflicted with Medical Renal disease (Dialysis), the cost of treatment is a daunting factor. Far from being a one time medical expense, dialysis patients have to undergo treatment life long. On one hand they live a painful life & on the other hand they are deprived of their livelihood due to their precarious health condition. More often they prefer to die a slow painful death early, rather than leave their loved ones with mounting debts.Bhaktivedanta Hospital

Of around 10 lacs pilgrims who had come for the year 2009 Ashadi Ekadashi at Pandarpur about 30,000 patients were given free medical treatment for severe injuries, fever, respiratory diseases, gastro intestinal diseases, eye infection etc. besides 1000 trauma cases. Health check-up project in Municipal schools was carried out last academic year to cover 4000 children. The main objective is early diagnosis, treatment and creating health awareness amongst needy children. This academic year we intend to cover 15000 children.

For senior citizens health camps are held weekly in Keshav Shrusthi and Morva Gaon in Bhayander.

Seminars on HIV / AIDS in various schools of Mira – Bhayander were conducted frequently. Also Health Awareness camps and lectures are conducted by the hospital free of cost.

Palliative care is the care given to patients who are suffering from terminal illness, which are incurable like Cancer, HIV AIDS, Last stage Heart, Lungs, Liver and Kidney diseases. Besides providing Palliative care in Mumbai and Thane, we also provide Palliative Care service at Vrindavan,Mathura
